Emerging details have it that Ogun businessman, Ibrahim Dende Egungbohun and Ogun West Senatorial Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Senator Olamilekan Adeola Yayi, have been alleged of using security forces to intimidate perceived members of the opposition.

Sources alleged that Yayi and Dende are behind the arrest of Alhaji Kamoru Olaifa, popular as Koko, who is also perceived not to be supporting Yayi’s candidacy.

Information made available further alleged that both Yayi and Dende wrote a strong petition against Koko, which prompted his arrest and detention as at press time and all efforts to get him released on bail has proved abortive.

Those who are familiar with the incident and spoke on the condition of anonymity, lamented that IBD Dende and Oba Olugbenle had allowed themselves to be used against their own kinsman all because of politics.

“IBD Dende and Oba Olugbenle allowed themselves to be used against their own kinsman.

“Koko was arrested because of the petition written by Yayi and Dende,” the source was quoted saying. The source further queried that, “if Yayi, a Senator, currently representing Lagos West Senatorial District, could go this far because someone is not supporting his ambition, then he could even do worse, when he assumes office.”If Yayi who is not from here could do this, it is obvious that he will do worse if he gets chance to be a senator”.

Alhaji Kamoru’s allies has however, called for his unconditional release as his arrest is said to be politically motivated.
