The Olota of Otta, HRM Oba (Prof.) Adeyemi Obalanlege P.hD has called on all Baales and major stakeholders in all communities in the Kingdom to look into reported cases of exploitation by some unidentified youths who are blocking major roads within his domain and its environs.

The Awori monarch expressed concern over all forms of acts that could portray the ‘good people of Otta in bad lights.’

This was stated in a letter signed by the aide to the monarch, Prince Adeyemi Sulaiman Olusesi and sent to all the Baales and major stakeholders in the kingdom.

Some unidentified youths within Otta had embarked on blocking of roads and exploitation of motorists amid ongoing #EndSARS protests in Ado-odo/Otta LG area of Ogun State.

Newsheadline247 understands that Oba Obalanlege is not pleased with activities that could drag the good image of the kingdom in the mud.

He called on the local chiefs to be more proactive in sustaining the peaceful atmosphere of his kingdom.

According to the letter seen by our reporter, the revered monarch said, “Any form of violence should be condemned and discouraged as the governments; both at State and Federal level have given us the assurance that all demands will be addressed in no distance time.”

The monarch who commended local chiefs for checking the protesters urged them not to relent in their efforts.

According to Olusesi in the letter directed to the Baales, “Alayeluwa appreciates your efforts so far in curbing the escalation of the unrest. However, all Baales are urged not to relent as we look forward to returning to normal life.

“On this note, Kabiesi implore all Baales to please come out and engage all the youths through dialogue in ensuring that all roads are free from further impediments and to further ensure a free flow of traffic cum protecting lives and properties.

“It is our town, it is our home, let us join hands to protect it.”
