The Olofin Apesin Olode, Olota of Otta, Awori Kingdom, His Majesty, Professor Adeyemi Obalanlege Ph.D (Lanlege Ekun II, Arole Iganmode) has concluded plan to grace the coronation ceremony of the new Olota of Otta-Ikosi, Awori Kingdom, Alayeluwa Oba Elias Omoloro Adedapo (Ijelu 1) scheduled to take place on Friday, 10th December 2021 at Otta-Ikosi, Lagos State.
Although under the political jurisdiction of Lagos State, Otta-Ikosi is a core integral part of Aworiland having a strong bloodline traceable to the ancient City of Otta, Awori Kingdom. In fact the aged-long relationship between the two stools cannot be overemphasized.
Incidentally, the coronation will be held days into the Otta Kingdom’s annual festival; Iganmode cultural festival. Thus it’s central planning committee under the able leadership of Aare Ayodele Bankole, and Olofin Apesin Olode will be welcoming HRM Olota of Otta-Ikosi to Otta Kingdom as he join other Royal Fathers with verifiable root and provenance to Iganmode to celebrate Odun Omo Iganmode as part of the week-long activities which will grandly hold 17th December 2021.
You will recall that the central planning committee for this year Iganmode festival has assured the public of it’s full preparation, and also their readiness to host a befitting and memorable event in all the aspects of the festival. The committee has equally pledged a great reception to the honour of our monarchs in our collective bid to project our Awori identity.
