A popular grassroots politician in the Itesiwaju local government area of Oyo State, Oke Simon Adebisi, has expressed his interest to serve the people of Iseyin/Itesiwaju State constituency by contesting for a seat as a lawmaker in the state house of assembly come 2023.

This was made known to newsheadline247 by one of his political allies, Waliu Okunlola.

Okunlola is also a respected, young and vibrant grassroots politician in the Ipapo area of Itesiwaju LG.

Speaking on his house of assembly membership aspiration, Adebisi disclosed that one of his core priorities is to selflessly serve the people of the constituency meticulously by ensuring massive human and infrastructural development.

Adebisi, popularly known as ‘A1’ in political circles, also gave assurance that if nominated and elected; he shall serve the people of Iseyin/Itesiwaju State constituency to the best of his ability adding that he also has the plans to mobilize more youth into politics to take leadership positions in various capacities.

The revered engineer cum politician is a staunch member of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State and expectedly, he will be contesting under the platform of the party.

What You Should Know About Oke Simeon Adebisi

He was born over three decades ago into the family of Late Adebisi popularly called ‘Adebisi Eye’ of blessed memory in Elegun Compound, Ipapo, Itesiwaju Local Government Area of Oyo. He attended Baptist Primary School Ipapo in Itesiwaju Local Government where he was the games prefect.

He proceeded to Ipapo Community Grammar School, After, he got transferred to Baptist High School Saki Idi araba. He came back to Oke Amu Community College and later finished his Secondary School Education in Ipapo Community Grammar School. All these are from 2002-2009

Oke Simeon Adebisi is a product of The Polytechnic, Ibadan and Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic, Eruwa in Ibarapa where he had his National Diploma and Higher National Diploma respectively in Electrical and Electronics (Option – Power) and this has earned him different accolades.

While on campus, he was a unionist due to his passion and zeal for politics to reposition things. He served as the President of Itesiwaju Local Government Students Union Ibarapa Chapter, The Vice President of Oke Ogun Students Union Ibarapa Chapter.

He was the Auditor for Indigenous Students Union in Itesiwaju Local Government where they distributed bursary to Students during their tenure.

Oke Adebisi is an experienced Engineer who deals in Electrical and Electronics. He has handled different kinds of Electrical Installations, House wiring Projects in both home and abroad.

His wealth of experience stood him out to be distinguished and had trained people on how to install and wiring.

POLITICAL CAREER

Oke Simeon Adebisi joined politics in 2003. He is a grassroots politician with wider knowledge to lead and mobilise.

He was the Accord Party Secretary in his ward 10 Ipapo, The Organising Secretary Accord Party for Itesiwaju Local Government. Also, The Vice-Chairman Oyo North Senatorial District Accord Rescue.

He was the immediate Secretary for Itesiwaju Local Government Area of Oyo State. He was among the seven (7) man Committee who lead other 68 Secretaries in the Oyo State.

Oke Simeon Adebisi is married to Olufunke and the union has been blessed with beautiful children.

Oke Simeon Adebisi facilitated Scholarship for Students from Dr Fola Akin Osun foreign Link College Of Education and Health.

He has empowered people, Students, contributed to health, Education, Welfare and other sectors.
