…….says ‘he is better than Gbenga Daniel and Bode George’

The Senator representing Ogun East Senatorial district, Prince Buruji Kasamu says Professor Tunde Adeniran remains the best candidate to be supported to become the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party at this trying period.

He stated this while addressing some members of his Omo Ilu Foundation in Ijebu Igbo.

Senator Kashamu noted that if party members do not want “all the gains recorded at repositioning the PDP by Ali Modu Sheriff to be lost by Makarfi and his illegal Caretaker Committee, those in good conscience should rise up against people of questionable characters who are hell bent on using the Caretaker Committee to take over the control of the party”

He said he was throwing his weight behind the former Education Minister, because it was the right thing to do and that’s was why he attended his official declaration to show solidarity with him.

“I don’t know why people are afraid of my support for a fellow party member who has been up and doing” ,he said.

In his words, Kasamu said “as the most senior elected politician in the South West I cannot sit back and allow Bode George and Gbenga Daniel clinch the exalted office because they will continue the era of impunity and lawlessness which the National Caretaker chairman, Ahmed Makarfi has instituted on the party since taking over the reign of leadership from Senator Ali Modu Sheriff through a controversial Supreme Court judgement”.

“If you don’t know, Professor Adeniran is a founding member of PDP, he knows the history of the party and he knows those of us who have been contributing and spending our financial resources to stabilise the party. He will return us to our rightful position in the party when he becomes the National chairman.”

The Senator explained that the PDP has lost most of his party members saying “People like Sheriff have abandoned the party because they are angry, they are not happy about how they were treated after doing so much to build the party after the loss of the 2015 elections”

According to him,  “Professor Adeniran remains the best stressing that he would ensure the return of those who left in anger. In fact all those spurious allegations that he was  rejected as an ambassadorial nominee or he took possession of some children illegally are personal issues which have nothing to do with the race at hand”.

Senator Kasamu Condemned what he described as ” executive rascality and inordinate ambition” by the Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose.

He said, “Fayose is just wasting his time, as such recklessness cannot save him from EFCC probe after his tenure in office”

Kasamu warned Chief Bode George to stop acting as if he solely owns the PDP, accusing him of being behind his travails with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA , using his wife as the head of the Federal agency to witch-hunt him and instigate his (Kasamu’s) failed abduction in 2015.

The Federal lawmaker, alleged that Daniel if elected as the Chairman, will continue Makarfi’s era of impunity and disobedience of court orders among many other attrocities.

While directing his attention to some branded buses for Adeniran’s campaign seen at his residence, the senator said, “you know, I am not a man who will hide behind one finger, when I believe in something, I go for it. I don’t pretend. I have converted those buses for my Lotto business and rebranded them for Adeniran, that means I can go to any length to ensure his victory.”
