Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing has issued a stern warning to members of the public against secretly filming her and her partner during outings, describing such behaviour as intrusive, disrespectful, and unacceptable.
The actress shared the caution in a video posted on her Instagram page, where she narrated a recent encounter at a restaurant involving a woman who allegedly recorded her and her partner without their consent.
According to her, she was alerted by a waitress before approaching the woman to politely express her displeasure over the covert recording.
While acknowledging her status as a public figure, the actress stressed that fans are free to request photos or videos openly, but taking recordings secretly particularly of her partner crosses the line.
Blessing explained that she is intentionally keeping her relationship away from the spotlight because her partner prefers a private life.
She said she is currently in a happy relationship but wants it kept off social media so they can enjoy it away from public scrutiny.
The actress warned that she would not hesitate to take action against anyone caught secretly filming them in future, insisting that she is determined to protect her partner’s privacy.
Reiterating her position, she urged fans to approach her respectfully if they want pictures rather than secretly capturing moments and posting them online.
Blessing added that if she eventually chooses to introduce her partner publicly, it would be on her own terms and at the time she considers appropriate.
