Grammy-winning Nigerian-British singer, Mark Yinka Orabiyi, popularly known as Talay Riley, has died after a fatal stabbing incident in East London.
The acclaimed musician reportedly lost his life on June 5, 2026, following a violent knife attack that left him with multiple stab wounds.
Talay Riley, 35, was attacked on Pankhurst Avenue in the Silvertown area of East London at approximately 9 a.m.
According to the Metropolitan Police, emergency responders and paramedics rushed to the scene and made extensive efforts to save the singer’s life. However, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The tragic incident has sent shockwaves through the music industry and among fans of the Nigerian-British artist, who was celebrated for his songwriting and vocal talents.
Meanwhile, homicide detectives attached to the Metropolitan Police Specialist Crime Command have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the killing. Authorities have yet to release details regarding possible suspects or motives as inquiries continue.
