One of the Nigerian foremost football clubs, the Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan has received two brand new buses from the government of Oyo State.

The State governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde on Wednesday handed over the keys of the busses to the management of the team in Ibadan.

Also, another prominent team in the state, Crown FC of Ogbomosho were also given a bus ahead of the next football season.

The governor who disclosed this in a post on his verified Twitter handle Wednesday evening said his administration will continue to provide the necessary resources to promote sporting activities in the state.

“Earlier today, we handed over buses to our football clubs; Shooting Stars Sports Club, Ibadan and Crown Football Club, Ogbomoso,” Makinde stated.

He wrote further, “Our administration will continue to provide the necessary resources to promote sporting activities among our young people in Oyo State.”

3SC regained promotion to the elite division of the Nigeria Football League following a spectacular outing in the last season in the NNL division.
