Spotify Unveils Exclusive Wizkid, Olamide, Tyla, Young Jonn Afro Nation Portugal 2026 Performances
Spotify has released the second wave of exclusive performance videos from Afro Nation Portugal 2026, giving music lovers around the world front-row access to some of the festival’s biggest moments.
Recorded live in Portimão, Portugal, the latest collection captures electrifying performances from Afrobeats superstars Wizkid, Tyla, Olamide and Young Jonn, reinforcing Spotify’s role as the festival’s exclusive streaming partner.
Available exclusively on Spotify from today are three highly anticipated live performances: Wizkid’s global hit Essence, Olamide’s fan favourite Wo and Young Jonn’s chart-topping Sharpally. The performances join Spotify’s dedicated Afro Nation destination, a hub featuring exclusive festival content, artist highlights and premium live experiences.
Spotify said the partnership is designed to bring the atmosphere of the world’s biggest Afrobeats festival to audiences everywhere, preserving the energy, rhythm and excitement of Afro Nation long after the final performance.
The streaming platform noted that Afrobeats continues to expand its global footprint, with its biggest stars attracting audiences across multiple continents. Tyla continues to dominate streaming charts in the United States, the United Kingdom, Brazil and the Philippines, while Wizkid maintains a strong presence in Mexico, France and Nigeria. Olamide remains one of Africa and Europe’s biggest music exports, and Young Jonn’s music continues to resonate with listeners in countries including Indonesia and Ghana.
Commenting on the initiative, Spotify’s Content Marketing Manager for Sub-Saharan Africa, Rifumo Mdaka, described Afro Nation as a defining platform for African music and culture.
“Afro Nation is the heartbeat of the culture, and we’re amplifying that pulse to every corner of the globe,” Mdaka said.

The collaboration forms part of Spotify’s broader investment in promoting African music globally. It builds on initiatives such as Afrobeats: Journey of a Billion Streams, a dedicated platform documenting the genre’s explosive growth, cultural influence and streaming milestones. It also follows last year’s Afrobeats: Culture in Motion campaign, which explored five years of the genre’s evolution through a documentary, an immersive digital experience and a fashion showcase in Lagos.
