Hence, Prince Dapo Abiodun, MFR and Eng Mrs Noimot Salako- Oyedele were re-elected as governor and deputy governor respectively.

Now let’s further break down the figures.

APC won Ogun Central Senatorial District (Egba/Owu) with 5,735 margin lead over and above rivals. PDP.

Ogun East Senatorial District (Remo/Ijebu) lost to PDP by a wide, resounding and unprecedented margin of 12,810. That’s home district of the two leading candidates, Prince Dapo Abiodun of APC and Hon.  Oladipupo Adebutu of the PDP.

The votes from Ogun Central could not cancel out the deficit brought in from the home stead of the incumbent governor Prince Dapo Abiodun.

And now to Ogun West Senatorial District (Yewa/Awori) voted APC over PDP with a margin lead of 20,581 !!! That was the BOOM !

Wait a minute … APC won the election in Ogun State with a lead margin of 13,506 votes, that is squarely less than what Ogun West Senatorial District delivered.  You will notice that the margin deficits recorded elsewhere were swallowed by the numbers brought in from Ogun West to return Prince Dapo Abiodun/Noimot Salako-Oyedele back to power. That’s the swing !!  That’s the joker !!!

In Ogun West, Ado-Odo/Ota LG alone came up with a margin lead of 8,024 votes over PDP representing 38.9% of the entire margin surplus of Ogun West.

Then let’s see this again, as a reminder. Only two senatorial districts delivered with margin surpluses, Ogun Central with 5,075 and Ogun West with 20,581 margin surpluses. So, the margin surplus from both performing senatorial districts is 26,306! Very Interesting, right?

Now, this swing LGA, Ado -Odo/Ota alone contributed 8,024 representing 30.5% of the margins surplus so recorded.

Now, what’s more interesting is  that both performing senatorial districts, Ogun Central and Ogun West have 11 LGs, 6 from Central and 5 from West.  Meaning that 1/3 (One Third) of total margin lead/surplus that won APC the election state wide came from Ado-Odo/Ota LG.

Now it’s time to  savour this victory ……
