  • Says Tunji Omolewu not a traitor
  • Gives Awikonko seven-day ultimatum to retract, apologise

The Igangan Community Development Association has protested the allegations levelled against one of its sons, Honourable Tunji Omolewu, popularly known as Janbele, for allegedly conniving with operatives of Department of State Service (DSS) to invade the raid of Yoruba Agitator, Chief Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho.

This is coming after one online presenter identified as Akanda Oro Awikonko who alleged that Janbele betrayed Igboho by revealing some of his secrets to DSS which raided his Ibadan residence, killing two of his aides and arrested others.

Chairman of the Community Association, Honourable Segun Okedeji, who faulted the allegations at a news conference in Igangan, Ibarapa North Area of Oyo State, described it as mischievous, callous and wicked lies against Janbele and the entire community.

Okedeji explained that the community will not tolerate any act capable of severe its cordial relationship with Igboho who through his assistance liberated the entire zone from the incessant attacks on farmers and residents by armed Fulani herdsmen.

The Community leader added that the community has undisputed confidence in Janbele, an ally of Igboho for almost three decades without any form of suspicion, that he can never betray him.

The development, according to him, is one of several means by some unscrupulous elements to show the Igangan Community as an ingrate.

He, however, asked Awikonko to retract the online publication that allegedly maligned the character of Janbele and the entire Igangan Community and tender a public apology to it within the next seven days.

Okedeji warns that failure to do that at the expiration of the deadline, the community will not hesitate to take legal action against Awikonko.
