Nigeria’s Yinka Mosunmola Adeoti is among the first two cutwomen ever to appear at the summer Olympics.

Adeoti and Marie-Pierre from France will be participating in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics games as cutwomen thus, setting the record of being the first to appear in that category.

A cutwoman is a female (cutperson) responsible for preventing and treating physical damage to a fighter during the breaks between rounds of a full contact match such as a boxing, kickboxing or a mixed martial arts bout. Cutmen typically handle swelling, nosebleeds and lacerations.

Adeoti is the first in Africa. She’s presently at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics doing what she knows how to do best.
