About 268 stranded Nigerians evacuated from China have safely arrived Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport in Abuja on Saturday.
African nationals had last month protested harassment from the Chinese government, amidst the fallout of the COVID-19 pandemic in the Asian country.
In several videos circulated on social media, Nigerians and other African nationals were reportedly subjected to forced evictions from their homes and arbitrary quarantine and mass coronavirus testing in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province of China.

“268 stranded Nigerians arrive in Abuja airport about 2.30 pm today, from China.
“They will be proceeding for the mandatory 14-day quarantine,” she wrote.
