The Olota of Ota, Oba Adeyemi Obalanlege, has generously donated a plot of land to the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Independent Online Chapel for the construction of their secretariat in the historic town, located in the Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State.

Oba Obalanlege, who also serves as the Chairman of Awori monarchs in Ogun State, made the announcement during a courtesy visit by members of the NUJ Independent Online Chapel to his palace.

The monarch expressed his commitment to facilitating regular professional training for the chapel’s members, emphasizing the importance of ongoing education in journalism.

In response, Comrade Taiwo, the Chairman of the NUJ Independent Online Chapel, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Kabiyesi for both his valuable advice and the generous gift of land. He also appreciated the monarch’s insightful discussion on the significance of training, assuring that the members would take his words to heart.

Comrade Taiwo further noted that the association had planned to visit various corporate organizations since its formal recognition by the Ogun State NUJ Chapter but had chosen to begin with the Kabiyesi to seek his royal blessings. More
