Lagos APC splits on as Party chairman Ajomale cries out, “Ambode doesn’t pick my calls!”

Fresh details have revealed the cold war between the Lagos state Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) political structure in the state is getting to the extreme.

Newsheadline247 understands there is presently a huge crack in Lagos state APC and it is heading towards implosion.

Reports monitored on SocietyNow NG stated that the face-off which has roots in the Governor’s cut off of government patronage to the party and politicians – except those allegedly willing to do his bidding –has resulted in the structure challenging the re-election bid of Ambode.

Sources disclose in an obvious all-out fight, the number one citizen of Lagos state is said to be setting up a parallel political structure to actualize his dream of retaining power.

Party chairman in the state Henry Ajomale

Party chairman in the state Henry Ajomale in a recent chat with confidants was quoted as saying “Ambode doesn’t pick my calls again”.

The disclosure shows the level of animosity that exists between the governor and the official structure of the party in Lagos state.

The governor is decorated with publicity blitz of “fantastic” performance based on execution of visible projects with shadowy budgets but obviously, politicians who make up his party structure do not share this sentiment of his “outstanding performance”.

“They have judged him failing to meet expectations based on their own parameters and he appears to mirror the same opinion on them hence the quote attributed to state party chairman” a source analyzed.

Ajomale is a former Lagos state commissioner for Special Duties.
