In his goodwill message, Senator Daniel described the forthcoming installation as a moment of great honour not just for Ibadan, the largest city in Africa, but also for the entire Yoruba race and its rich cultural heritage.
“Your life’s journey, from the chambers of the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to the Governorship of Oyo State, and from boardrooms of enterprise to the heights of statesmanship, has been marked by resilience, foresight, and unwavering service. Truly, greatness belongs to men of valour,” Daniel wrote.
The former governor hailed Ladoja’s enduring legacy in politics and governance, stressing that his ascension to the throne is a divine recognition of his dedication to service and his ability to unite and guide Ibadanland.
“As you ascend this revered stool, may your reign be long, peaceful, and prosperous. May the good Lord crown your days with health, may Ibadan flourish under your watch, and may your name be etched in golden pages of history in Yorubaland,” Daniel prayed.
