Nigerian gospel singer Judikay and her husband, Anselem Opara, have welcomed their second child, a baby girl named Shekinah Umechukwu Opara.

The couple shared the joyful news on Friday, with the singer describing their newborn as a divine gift and a powerful symbol of God’s love. According to Judikay, Shekinah was born on February 14, 2026.

Announcing the arrival via Instagram, the singer expressed deep gratitude, calling her daughter “God’s literal love gift” and celebrating the moment as a testament to unwavering faith.

The birth carries profound significance for the family, coming after years of private struggles with fertility, including six miscarriages. One of the losses reportedly occurred in February 2025, making the timing of Shekinah’s birth—exactly a year later—especially emotional and symbolic.

In recent days, Judikay had opened up about her journey through pain and doubt, recalling moments she questioned her faith but ultimately held on. The arrival of her daughter has since been widely seen by fans as a story of hope, restoration, and divine timing.

Judikay and Pastor Opara previously welcomed their first child, Joshua Ikechukwu Opara, in 2022.
