APC Lagos Women Leader Hails Tinubu, Four Female LSHA Candidates After Primary Victory

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Lagos State Women Leader, Alhaja Rofiat Iyabosola Eletu, has congratulated Bola Ahmed Tinubu and four female candidates who emerged victorious during the party’s primary elections for the Lagos State House of Assembly (LSHA).

In a statement issued on Monday, Eletu described the outcome of the primaries as a significant milestone for democratic progress, women inclusion, and political development in Lagos State.

Congratulating President Tinubu on securing the APC presidential ticket ahead of the 2027 general election, the APC women leader said the victory reflected the confidence Nigerians and party members continue to place in his leadership.

According to her, the President’s emergence demonstrates public trust in his vision, courage, and commitment to national growth and development.

Eletu also commended Tinubu’s administration for its economic reforms, youth empowerment initiatives, and infrastructure drive, stressing that women within the Lagos APC remain committed to supporting the Renewed Hope agenda.

The women leader further celebrated the emergence of four female APC candidates for the Lagos State House of Assembly, describing their victories as a boost for female representation in governance.

The successful candidates are Princess Omolara Oyekan-Olumegbon for Lagos Island Constituency I, Mojisola Lasbat Miranda for Apapa Constituency I, Barrister Damilola Ayinde Marshal for Surulere Constituency II, and Barrister Barakat Odunuga-Bakare for Surulere Constituency I.

Speaking on Oyekan-Olumegbon’s emergence, Eletu said her victory reflected her dedication to integrity, community service, and grassroots development.

She also praised Miranda, the current Deputy Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, for her legislative experience and contribution to stability within the assembly.

Eletu described Barrister Damilola Ayinde Marshal as a competent legal practitioner whose professional background would strengthen legislative representation and inclusiveness.

Similarly, she commended Barrister Barakat Odunuga-Bakare for her consistent commitment to grassroots development and professional excellence, assuring her of the full support of the APC women’s wing ahead of the general elections.

The APC Lagos women leader urged party supporters and residents across the state to support the candidates, noting that the success of the four women further proves that the Lagos APC remains committed to promoting women participation in governance and decision-making.
