Eid-el-Kabir: Tinubu Observes Prayers in Lagos, Atiku Calls for National Unity

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Wednesday joined Muslim faithful at Dodan Barracks in Lagos State to observe the Eid-el-Kabir prayers.

The President was accompanied by several top government officials and political figures, including his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila; the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu; former Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola; Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa; and Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Obafemi Hamzat.

The development was disclosed by the President’s Special Assistant on Social Media, Dada Olusegun, in a post shared on his X handle.

According to him, Tinubu joined other Muslim faithful in observing the Eid prayers at Dodan Barracks as part of activities marking the Islamic celebration.

Meanwhile, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar also observed the Eid prayers alongside Muslim faithful at the AYA Mosque in Abuja.

In a message shared on his social media page, Atiku said the prayers were offered in gratitude to Allah for His countless blessings.

The former presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party urged Nigerians to embrace unity, compassion, sacrifice and peaceful coexistence during the festive period.

He said the spirit of Eid should strengthen national unity and promote peace across the country.

Atiku further extended Eid greetings to Muslims in Nigeria and across the world, praying for lasting peace and prosperity for the nation.
