As preparations gather momentum for the highly anticipated Ojude Oba 2026 festival, leading noodle brand Indomie has partnered with the renowned Fasasi Adesoye Dynasty to celebrate children across Ijebuland with a colourful funfair in Ijebu Ode.
The event, held at the historic Adesoye family mansion in Oke Ijasi, transformed the ancient compound into a vibrant playground filled with games, entertainment, music and excitement for children from different parts of the community.
The initiative formed part of the Adesoye Dynasty’s long-standing pre-Ojude Oba activities, but this year’s edition took on a special significance as it was dedicated to celebrating Ijebu children in commemoration of the 2026 Children’s Day celebration.
Scores of children and parents thronged the venue as the atmosphere came alive with laughter, dancing and various recreational activities organised to create memorable experiences for the young participants.
Speaking with NewsHeadline247, Otunba Adesoye Adedayo Ademilola, Knight of John Wesley, UK, and President of the Adesoye Grandchildren Association, said the family remained committed to preserving the rich cultural heritage and communal spirit associated with Ojude Oba.
According to him, the partnership with Indomie was designed to put smiles on the faces of children while reinforcing the values of unity, culture and celebration deeply rooted in Ijebuland.
“Our family has sustained the tradition of pre-Ojude Oba celebrations for several decades, but this year we decided to make it uniquely about the children,” he said.
“We are delighted to partner with Indomie to celebrate the children of Ijebuland in a special way following the 2026 Children’s Day celebration. Seeing the joy and excitement on their faces today is deeply fulfilling for us as a family.”
He added that the Adesoye Dynasty would continue to promote initiatives that strengthen community bonds and uphold the cultural prestige associated with Ojude Oba.
The participating children were visibly excited throughout the event, enjoying games, refreshments and entertainment specially arranged for the celebration.
The Fasasi Adesoye Dynasty, since the era of their late patriarch, Balogun Fasasi Adesoye, has remained one of the most admired families during the annual Ojude Oba festival, widely known for its glamour, elegance and regal display that continue to capture public attention year after year.
