The United States Department of Homeland Security (U.S. Department of Homeland Security) has confirmed that at least 110 Nigerians are among 355 West Africans slated for deportation from the United States.

The agency disclosed that the move is part of a wider enforcement operation targeting immigration violations across several U.S. states. As part of the exercise, the department released the names and photographs of all 355 affected individuals under its West Africa Operations Watch initiative.

According to the breakdown, Nigeria has the highest number of affected nationals at 110, followed by Liberia with 94. Ghana and Senegal recorded 30 and 19 individuals respectively. Others on the list include 15 Cameroonians, 14 Gambians, 14 Ivorians, 12 Mauritanians, 11 Cape Verdeans, nine Burkinabes, eight Nigeriens, six Guineans, six Togolese, five Malians, and one each from Benin and Guinea-Bissau.

Officials said those listed were flagged for various immigration breaches, including visa overstays, unlawful entry, and failure to meet residency requirements. The DHS described the exercise as a coordinated enforcement action across multiple states in the U.S.
