The community expressed optimism that the Olota’s royal patronage would strengthen its cultural mission, inspire members and provide strategic guidance for initiatives aimed at preserving Yoruba heritage. It also said the monarch’s respected voice would help deepen unity among Yoruba people living abroad while reinforcing cultural ties with their homeland.

Accepting the honour, Oba Obalanlege expressed profound appreciation to the leadership and members of the Yoruba Community in Switzerland for finding him worthy of the prestigious role.

The monarch pledged to justify the confidence reposed in him by redoubling efforts to preserve, promote and advance the rich cultural heritage, traditions and identity of the Yoruba people.
