Content creator and actress Kiekie says brand alignment influences her collaborations, explaining why she avoids working with skit makers whose content she considers overly vulgar

Kiekie Explains Why She Won’t Collaborate With Some Skit Makers

Content creator and actress Bukunmi Adeaga-Ilori, popularly known as Kiekie, has said brand identity remains a key factor in her choice of collaborations, revealing that she deliberately avoids partnering with skit makers

Speaking during a recent podcast interview, Kiekie explained that while she respects the creativity and hard work of fellow content creators, she is intentional about protecting the image she has built over the years.

“I would never collaborate with any skit maker who is too vulgar. I will not be able to collaborate with them,” she said.

She stressed that her decision is guided by brand alignment rather than personal judgment, noting that she has no issue with creators who choose a different style of content.

Asked to identify any specific individual, Kiekie said she had no one in particular in mind. However, she observed that some creators produce content that centres heavily on suggestive themes and revealing appearances, which she believes do not fit the direction of her brand.

“I don’t have a name for one, but I have seen quite a number of them. So if you’re too much breasts, bumbum, not that I have a problem with it, but it’s just brand alignment.

“My inability to collaborate with you doesn’t mean that I look down on what you do or I don’t respect what you do or I don’t see your hard work. I recognise your hard work, but we just don’t align. It will affect the way my own brands are approaching my own work,” she added.

Kiekie maintained that every creator has the freedom to express themselves creatively, but emphasised that maintaining consistency in her personal brand is essential, particularly because of the expectations of her audience and the confidence corporate partners place in her work.
