Afrobeats superstar Davido has revealed that billionaire businessman Aliko Dangote has maintained a close relationship with his family for decades and has offered him financial advice since childhood.

Speaking in a recent interview, the singer said Dangote’s connection with his family dates back to his early years and that the business magnate has consistently encouraged him to save and manage his finances wisely.

Davido recalled that Dangote drove his mother home from the hospital after she gave birth to him, describing the billionaire as a longtime associate of his father, businessman Adedeji Adeleke.

“Anytime I see him, he still tells me, ‘David, save your money.’ He’s been saying that since I was a baby,” Davido said.

According to the singer, Dangote’s advice has remained relevant throughout his career in the entertainment industry, particularly as he has risen to become one of Africa’s most successful music stars.
