The organisers of Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) have announced that the 11th edition of Nigeria’s biggest reality television show will premiere on Sunday, July 26, 2026, with a record-breaking N160 million grand prize awaiting the winner.
The announcement was made during a press briefing on Wednesday, where the organisers unveiled plans for the highly anticipated 2026 season, confirming that the prize money is the biggest ever offered in the history of the reality show.
The N160 million reward surpasses all previous editions, underscoring the continued growth and commercial success of the BBNaija franchise since its debut in 2006.
In preparation for the new season, the organisers held physical auditions in Lagos, Abuja and Enugu between May 22 and May 24, 2026, giving aspiring contestants the opportunity to earn a place in the famous BBNaija house.
The auditions were free for eligible applicants aged 21 years and above, who were required to present valid means of identification.
Over the years, Big Brother Naija has evolved into one of Africa’s most-watched reality television shows, producing several celebrities and providing a launchpad for careers in entertainment, fashion, music, media and entrepreneurship.
The organisers are expected to unveil this season’s housemates, theme and other activities in the coming days ahead of the July 26 premiere.
