Popular Nigerian skit maker and actor, Samuel Perry, better known as Broda Shaggi, has broken his silence after months away from the public scene.
The comedian, who has kept a low profile and stayed away from shows, events and other public engagements in recent months, expressed appreciation to fans who continued to support him during his absence.
Shaggi shared the message on his WhatsApp channel on Friday, thanking supporters who continued to check on him and show him love despite his prolonged silence.
He said their loyalty meant a lot to him, especially at a time when he had been unable to connect with them as much as he wanted.
“Even when I haven’t been able to show up the way I wanted to, knowing that y’all are still here has meant more than I can put into words,” he wrote.
The actor, however, declined to disclose the reason behind his absence, saying he was not yet ready to reveal everything.
According to him, he would explain what happened when the time was right, while expressing hope that he would return to the public scene soon.
Shaggi assured his fans that he had not forgotten them and was looking forward to reconnecting with them fully.
He also promised that his return would be stronger, saying he intended to make up for the time he had spent away.
The comedian added an emotional message of appreciation to his supporters, thanking them for their patience, loyalty and continued presence.
Shaggi’s latest message comes months after reports of an alleged shooting incident involving the comedian sparked concerns among fans and led to widespread speculation about his wellbeing.
He has not publicly confirmed that the incident was responsible for his prolonged absence.
