Founder of the Ancestral Pride Temple, Dr Oluwo Fasola Babatunde Faniyi, the Araba Otta, Aworiland, has urged Africans, especially the Yorubas, to desist from labelling the rich cultural African heritage forefathers as evil.

Dr Faniyi who is also the founder and the President of the Ancestral Pride Foundation maintained that the African culture and tradition, particularly the Yoruba race remains the most peaceful religion of all religions across the globe.

This clarion call was made at the instance of the year 2021 Ifa/ Orisa press conference. According to him, this year’s celebrations come in three-fold firstly, Ancestral Pride foundation’s 4th year anniversary, Founder’s Birthday celebrations and thirdly marking 12th year anniversary of Ifa/Orisa celebration.

For purpose of record, Ifa/Orisa celebrations are the Family’s heritage celebrations which comprise all the families of Late Chief Faniyi whose children followed ancestral trade of Ifa-Traditional healings and remedy practices hitherto.

The newly installed and first ‘Araba’ in Otta, Awori kingdom who took time to celebrate his birthday with Ijamido orphanage home with lots of food items and cash gifts, stated is out to promote and sustain African heritage which according to him is almost going into extinction, also called on government at all levels to do all within reach to sustain African rich culture which is the main solution the continent need for survival.

He cited countries like China which he said has been able to advance due to fact that their rich culture and values were not eroded in place of western cultures. 

The Aare Onifa and head of all traditional medicine practitioners in Otta, Awori kingdom established Ancestral Pride foundation years ago to canvass for African loss socio-cultural science, with a membership which now covers countries like Argentina, Brazil, USA and Canada including many African countries.

The year 2021 Annual festival grand finale scheduled for Sunday 28th November shall cover lecture symposium at Popular Ijamido Hall with theme  ‘Misconceptions of Yoruba Cultural heritage’ and to be anchored by Dr Fayemi Fakayode PhD from Ibadan, where details about values and heritage of African and Yoruba culture especially shall be in discourse for better benefits for all.

The Fuji Music King and Olufimo, Dr Saheed Osupa shall be in Music stand to embellish the annual gathering with his usual Fuji masterpiece at the finale.

The general public and Yoruba indigenes are thereby invited to grace the annual event which promises to be educative.
