Odun Omo Iganmode Afeleja” is the biggest annual cultural festival in Ota Aworiland

The Ogun State Government has again through the state’s Ministry of Health reiterated its support for the 2021 edition of the Iganmode cultural festival by championing the free medical outreach program of the fiesta.

The Chairman of the Central Planning Committee of the event, Aare Dele Bankole,  made this known on Sunday in a statement made available to newsheadline247.

According to Bankole, the state government has offered to place a COVID-19 vaccination point at the palace of Olota of Ota, Oba Adeyemi Obalanlege.

The “Odun Omo Iganmode Afeleja” is the biggest annual cultural festival in Ota Aworiland. The 2021 edition comes with the theme; “Culture: A Module For Sustainable Leadership In Nigeria”. The ancient town is gearing up for an unprecedented week-long display of the Awori cultural values and ethics.

Recall that the planning committee chairman had earlier announced that, as part of the activities of this year’s festival,  a day-long long ‘free medical outreach program’ will be set aside to cater for the aged and less privileged in Otta and its environs.

Bankole urged residents of the ancient town to “take advantage of this rare opportunity and get vaccinated in line with the Covid-19 protocols.”

This is to bring to your notice that the Ogun State Government through the Ministry of Health will be supporting our Medical Outreach program in commemoration of the 2021 Iganmode Cultural Festival.

Considering the large number of people who are yet to have access to Covid-19 vaccine in Otta and its environs, the State Government has offered to have a vaccination point at the Royal Palace of our most Revered Royal Father of the Great Ancient City of Otta for the Covid-19 vaccination between 7th December -14th December 2021.

We hereby urge the good people of Otta to please take advantage of this rare opportunity and get vaccinated in line with the Covid-19 protocols.
