The Lagos State Government has announced that 17 more coronavirus patients have been discharged from the state’s isolation facilities at Yaba, Gbagada and the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) after showing full recovery.

The announcement was made by the State Ministry of Health via its Twitter account on Wednesday.

According to the ministry, the patients, 6 females and 11 males, all Nigerians, were discharged after showing full recovery from the virus.

The tweet read, “ 17 COVID19Lagos patients; six females and 11 males, all Nigerians have been discharged from our Yaba, LUTH and Gbagada Isolation facilities to reunite with the society.

“The patients; seven from mainland infectious disease hospital, Yaba, four from Gbagada and 6 from LUTH Isolation Centres have fully recovered & tested negative twice consecutively to COVID19.

“With this, the number of patients successfully managed and discharged in Lagos has risen to 649.

”Residents are advised to stay home and stay safe.”
