Public anger is mounting after a disturbing viral video surfaced online, allegedly showing a woman assaulting her 15-year-old daughter at 32 Tashoro Street near Ipaja in Lagos State.

The footage, which began circulating in the early hours of Wednesday, April 29, captures a woman dressed in a yellow shirt pinning the teenager to the ground while wielding a knife. The incident reportedly occurred near the entrance of a residential compound after the girl had been beaten.

Eyewitnesses at the scene were seen stepping in to stop the attack, though the condition of the teenager remains unknown as of the time of reporting.

The video was shared on X (formerly Twitter) by a user identified as Dir_Martinsz, who alleged that the minor was being abused and called on Nigerians to draw the attention of relevant authorities. The post also specified the location of the incident as Opeki bus stop, off Ayobo Road in Lagos.

The graphic clip has since triggered widespread condemnation across social media platforms, with many Nigerians urging swift action from the Nigeria Police Force, the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency (DSVA), and Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
