Nigerian singer Spyro has attributed the financial downfall of some entertainers to excessive spending on parties, luxury lifestyles, and women, particularly foreign-based companions.

The ‘Who’s Your Guy’ crooner made the remarks while addressing fans during a live performance over the weekend, where he stressed the importance of financial discipline and long-term investments.

According to the singer, while there is nothing wrong with enjoying success or being generous to women, reckless spending often comes at a significant cost.

Spyro described extravagant spending on women and other frivolous activities as poor financial decisions that can jeopardize future stability.

“If you are here and you are spending money on women, I think you are wasting your time. I’m not saying you should not spend on your woman, but use your head,” he told the audience.

The singer claimed that several of his colleagues squandered their early earnings on lavish parties and expensive trips abroad, particularly to South Africa, leaving them financially stranded.

“I know some of my colleagues who went broke because they made their first bag and blew it off on parties and trips to South Africa. But I didn’t move that way, and that is why I am where I am,” he said.

Spyro further revealed that after attaining fame and financial success, he attracted attention from numerous Instagram models, some of whom allegedly offered to sponsor luxury vacations abroad. However, he said he chose to stay focused on his music career and investment opportunities instead.

He encouraged young men to embrace prudent financial habits, save consistently, and invest wisely rather than spending excessively on temporary pleasures.
