Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu stole the spotlight on Tuesday with a heartfelt romantic gesture toward his wife, Ibijoke, during the opening of the 26th Annual National Women’s Conference organised by the Committee of Wives of Lagos State Officials (COWLSO).

Midway through his address at the event, themed “Anchored in Purpose: Be the Blueprint,” the governor paused, stepped forward and presented a bouquet of flowers to the First Lady.

“On behalf of COWLSO and everything that is decent, we want to appreciate you, we want to honour you,” Sanwo-Olu said.

The couple then shared a kiss as Nigerian music icon 2Baba’s classic hit African Queen filled the hall, drawing warm applause and smiles from the audience.

The tender moment brought a personal, romantic touch to the gathering, which brings together women from diverse backgrounds to discuss issues affecting women, families and society.
