Ogun PDP Chair, Abayomi Tella, Marks 3rd Anniversary of Late Mother’s Passing with Thanksgiving Service
It was a day of heartfelt tributes and gratitude in Odan Agbara yesterday, as the family of Ogun State PDP Chairman, Rotn. (Hon) Abayomi Tella, marked the third anniversary of the passing of his beloved mother, Deaconess Sarah Abike Tella JP.
The commemoration began with a special thanksgiving service at The Mercy of God Evangelical Mission, attended by family members, including Chief Rasheed Tella, Mrs. Victoria Abike Ogunniyi, and Mrs. Victoria Ogunwobi, alongside friends, well-wishers, and party loyalists.
The service, described by attendees as deeply moving, reflected the family’s gratitude to God for “the peace, blessings, and favour” they have enjoyed since Mama Tella’s passing.
Following the church programme, guests gathered at Hon. Tella’s Agbara residence, where love, laughter, and fond memories filled the air. Attendees celebrated the enduring legacy of Deaconess Tella — remembered as a woman of faith, compassion, and kindness whose influence continues to guide her children.
A goodwill message from the PDP’s 2023 Ogun governorship candidate, Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu, delivered by Hon. Olawale Olanrewaju, praised the late matriarch as “an exemplary mother who lived a good life and gave her children good upbringing.”
Adebutu added, “The legacies of Mama will continue to inspire and guide her children and family as they strive to make a positive impact in their community.”
The occasion, coordinated by Rotr. Olamilekan Philips, Media Aide to the PDP State Chairman, was both a remembrance and a celebration — underscoring the values of family, faith, and service that Deaconess Sarah Abike Tella embodied throughout her life. Read More
