Nollywood actress Yvonne Jegede has openly criticized the administration of Bola Tinubu over its handling of the country’s worsening security challenges.

The actress expressed concern over what she described as the government’s inadequate response to the growing insecurity across Nigeria, stating that the issue extends beyond criminal activities to the perceived lack of urgency in addressing them.

In a post shared on Instagram, Jegede accused the government of failing to demonstrate compassion towards citizens affected by violent crimes and insecurity.

Addressing President Tinubu and First Lady Oluremi Tinubu, the actress argued that Nigerians deserve better protection and support from those in leadership positions.

According to her, while crime exists in many parts of the world, the major concern in Nigeria is the widespread belief that victims are often left without adequate assistance or justice.

Jegede further stressed that the wave of violence and criminal activities affecting the nation should not be viewed through tribal, religious, or social class lenses, noting that insecurity remains a collective national challenge.

Her comments have since sparked conversations on social media, with many Nigerians weighing in on the country’s security situation and the government’s efforts to address it.
