Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi of the controversial Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council (PFIPC) has pledged to cooperate with security agencies by submitting documents in his possession to aid investigations into the agency.
Adeyemi made the declaration during a conversation with social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, amid ongoing controversy over the existence of the council.
The development follows the Presidency’s position that the PFIPC was never an official government agency. The clarification was conveyed by the President’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila.
Responding to the controversy, Adeyemi said he was prepared to assist the Department of State Services (DSS), the Nigeria Police Force, or any investigative panel set up by President Bola Tinubu to uncover the truth.
According to him, he intends to submit all documents in his possession for authentication and verification to determine how the agency came into existence and those responsible for its operations.
“I’m willing and ready to help security agencies or any panel set up by Mr. President to unravel the truth. In fact, any moment from now, I will go to the DSS or the police to submit all the documents I have to help them investigate this matter.
“I will submit everything I have. They should authenticate the documents, verify them, and unravel the truth,” Adeyemi said.
