Big Brother Naija Season 11 housemate, Flora Egbedi, became visibly emotional after Big Brother officially revealed that she had been selected as one of the season’s undercover Gambits, placing her under strict conditions that could determine her fate in the competition.
During her diary session on Thursday, Big Brother informed Flora that she had been chosen for the special role and warned that her identity as a Gambit must remain a closely guarded secret throughout her stay in the house.
According to Big Brother, any attempt to disclose her secret assignment to fellow housemates could result in immediate disqualification.
“Flora, you are the Gambit. From this moment on, your identity as the Gambit must remain a secret. If you reveal your identity, you may be disqualified,” Big Brother told her.
The revelation left Flora overwhelmed as she struggled to hold back tears while accepting the responsibility that comes with the role.
Responding to the announcement, she admitted the assignment would be challenging.
“I will try my best. I do not think staying longer is enough,” she said.
Flora’s confirmation comes a day after fellow housemate Aikou was informed that he had also been selected as a Gambit. The duo was earlier announced by show host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu during the live launch after viewers voted them into the special roles.
Unlike the other contestants, Flora and Aikou are not eligible to compete for the show’s ₦160 million grand prize. Instead, they will operate as undercover agents carrying out secret tasks designed to influence conversations, alliances and activities inside the house while ensuring their identities remain undisclosed.
The introduction of the Gambit twist adds another strategic dimension to BBNaija Season 11, forcing the two housemates to carefully execute their missions without raising suspicion among their fellow contestants.
With the threat of disqualification hanging over them, Flora and Aikou now face the difficult challenge of balancing trust, deception and survival as the competition intensifies.
