Ogun PDP Chairman Tella Felicitates Muslims on Moulud Nabiyy

Ogun State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Dr Abayomi Tella, has felicitated Muslims across the state as they join millions of faithful around the world to celebrate Moulud Nabiyy, urging them to use the celebration as an opportunity to reflect on the teachings, virtues and exemplary life of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

Tella, a former Chairman of Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area, in a goodwill message to Muslim faithful in Ogun State, called on them to celebrate the Moulud Nabiyy occasion with gratitude, peace, love and compassion while remembering the values of sacrifice, humility, kindness and service to humanity.

The PDP chairman urged Muslims to go beyond the festivities by allowing the lessons of the celebration to influence their conduct and relationships with others, stressing that the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) remain relevant to the pursuit of peaceful coexistence and a just society.

“I warmly felicitate with our Muslim brothers and sisters across Ogun State on this joyous occasion. I urge you to celebrate with gratitude to Almighty Allah and to continue to imbibe the teachings and exemplary life of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW),” Tella said.

He encouraged the faithful to use the occasion to strengthen bonds of brotherhood and extend love and generosity to the less privileged, noting that religious celebrations should inspire greater concern for the welfare of others and promote unity within communities.

Tella also called on Muslims to continue praying for Ogun State and Nigeria, particularly for peace, prosperity and improved welfare for citizens, while urging residents to remain united despite political, religious and ethnic differences.

“As we rejoice the birth of the Holy Prophet (SAW) today, let us remember our state and our country in our prayers. May Almighty Allah grant Ogun State and Nigeria peace, progress and prosperity, and may He continue to strengthen the bonds that unite us as a people,” he said.

The former Ado-Odo/Ota council chairman wished Muslim faithful across the 20 local government areas of Ogun State a fulfilling and peaceful Moulud Nabiyy celebration, expressing hope that the occasion would usher in renewed blessings, hope and goodwill for families and communities across the state.

He urged the faithful to enjoy the joyous occasion responsibly and to carry the spirit of love, sacrifice and compassion associated with the celebration beyond the festivities.
