Just In: Ike Ekweremadu, wife, daughter guilty of organ trafficking

Nigerian former Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu has been found guilty of organ trafficking by a United Kingdom court.

His wife Beatrice, daughter Sonia and Obinna Obeta, a doctor involved in the case, were also found guilty.

They criminally conspired to bring the 21-year-old Lagos street trader to London to exploit him for his kidney, the jury found on Thursday.

The judge, Justice Jeremy Johnson, will pass a sentence at a later date, The Guardian UK reports.
