This was made known by the Presidential Task Force(PTF) on COVID-19 at its daily press briefing on Thursday.
The PTF added that “States with the most number of cases are struggling to keep up.”
The Director-General of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, Chilwe Ihekweazu added,, “There are people behind those numbers of COVID-19 cases.
“Easing the lockdown could increase the number of COVID-19 cases and we are seeing that.”
Adding to that, the National Coordinator of the PTF, Sani Aliyu, said, “It is clear that the public is not adhering to COVID-19 guidelines and it is shown in their behaviours ”
He warned that “We must not make it easy for the virus to spread.”
