Ojokoro LCDA Chairman Rosiji Adenike Sends Hijrah 1448 AH Message to Muslim Community

The Executive Chairman of Ojokoro Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. (Barr.) Rosiji Oluyemisi Adenike, has extended warm greetings to the Muslim community within the council area and beyond as the Islamic world marks the beginning of the New Year 1448 AH.

In a goodwill message released by her media team, Rosiji Media Team, the council boss described the Hijrah as a defining moment in Islamic history, symbolising faith, sacrifice, perseverance, hope, and the triumph of righteousness.

On the occasion of the commencement of the Islamic New Year, she said, “I extend my warmest greetings and heartfelt felicitations to all Muslim faithful in Ojokoro LCDA and beyond.”

Reflecting on the significance of the Hijrah, she noted that it commemorates the migration of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) from Makkah to Madinah, a journey that continues to offer timeless lessons in patience, unity, compassion, and unwavering trust in Almighty Allah.

“The Hijrah marks a significant moment in Islamic history,” she stated, “symbolizing faith, sacrifice, perseverance, hope, and the triumph of righteousness. It reminds us of the noble migration of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) from Makkah to Madinah, a journey that teaches us the values of patience, unity, compassion, and unwavering trust in Almighty Allah.”

As the new Islamic year begins, Rosiji prayed for peace, prosperity, and continued progress across Ojokoro LCDA, Lagos State, and Nigeria at large, urging residents to embrace renewed faith and collective responsibility.

“As we enter this blessed New Year, I pray that Allah (SWT) grants us peace, prosperity, good health, abundant blessings, and continued progress in our families, communities, and our dear nation,” she said. “May He strengthen our faith, guide our steps on the path of righteousness, and bless Ojokoro LCDA with greater development, harmony, and success.”

She also called on residents to use the Hijrah period as an opportunity to deepen commitment to peaceful coexistence, community service, and collective development, stressing that unity remains key to sustainable growth.

“Let us use this sacred period to renew our commitment to peaceful coexistence, service to humanity, and the collective growth of our community,” she added.

The chairman concluded her message by wishing all Muslim faithful a peaceful and rewarding Islamic New Year, saying simply, “Happy Hijrah 1448 AH.”
