The indigenes of Otta, Ogun State who are currently in Mecca for the 2023 Hajj pilgrims on Monday held fidau prayers for the departed two illustrious sons of the Awori town who passed on over the weekend.

The ancient City of Otta, Awori Kingdom was thrown into mourning mood last weekend following the death of a renowned Islamic erudite, a senior retired civil servant in Lagos State, Alhaji Labaika Adio Salako and a top politician, a respected Chief in Aworiland, Chief Alani Mukadas Akinde, the Okanlomo of Aworiland, within the space of 24hours.

Today, Aworis who are currently in the Holy Land of Mecca for Hajj all gathered for 3-Days Fidau prayer in honour of the two prominent sons of Aworiland who left the earth to the world beyond.

The death of the duo was a painful exit to Awori community. Though, both are eminently aged personalities but their departure was a great loss to Otta community, and Aworiland at large.

No doubt, Alhaji Labaika Adio Salako and Alhaji (Chief) Alani Mukadas Akinde lived a fulfilled life, impacted so many lives, and left behind an unending legacies worth of emulation.

May Almighty Allah accept all the prayers, forgive their sins, grant them Aljana Firdaus, and give their families and associates the strengths to bear the collosal loss.

Leading Scholars at the fidau prayer includes; Sheikh Sabeeq Aina Aladi, Imam Hamod Olowolomona, Imam Ambali Sulaimon, Imam Sarafa Akinwande, Imam Lukman Adeosun, Alhaji Wahab Asade. Others include; Alhaji Ibraheem Afobaje, Alhaji (Prince) Adeyemi Sulaimon Olusesi, and other respected sons and daughters of Aworiland.
