Maolud Nabiyy: Ado-Odo/Ota Chairman Lawal Wasiu Calls for Peace
The Executive Chairman of Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State, Hon. Lawal Adewale Wasiu, FCA, has felicitated Muslims in the council area, Ogun State and across Nigeria on the occasion of this year’s Maolud Nabiyy, commemorating the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
The Council’s Chief Information and Public Relations Officer, Alabi Sheriff, disclosed this in a statement made available to Newsheadline247.
Wasiu described the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) as a timeless guide to compassion, tolerance, honesty and selfless service to humanity, urging Muslims to reflect on the values exemplified by the Prophet during the celebration.
“Maolud Nabiyy, offers us another opportunity to reflect on the virtues of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) his humility, his commitment to justice, and his dedication to community development,” the chairman stated.
“As an administration, we are committed to these same values in delivering good governance and grassroots development to the good people of Ado-Odo/Ota.”
The council chairman also urged Muslims to use the occasion to pray for peace, security and prosperity in Ado-Odo/Ota, Ogun State and Nigeria at large.
He called on residents, irrespective of religious affiliation, to continue to promote peaceful coexistence and support government initiatives aimed at improving infrastructure, education, healthcare and economic empowerment across the local government.
“Ado-Odo/Ota remains a model of peaceful coexistence. Let us use this holy season to strengthen the bonds of unity and work together for the progress of our communities,” Wasiu added.
The chairman, on behalf of the government and people of Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government, wished Muslims a peaceful and joyous Maolud Nabiyy celebration, while encouraging residents to uphold the virtues of unity, tolerance and service to humanity.
