2. There were 3395 failed log in attempts and 3851 successful log in attempts within the same period

3. Strangers and unauthorized staffs logged into the system between 8th-22nd August 2017

4. Chebukati’s account was used to transfer, modify and delete files including form 34As.

5. Chebukati’s account had 9934 transactions logs within the same period.

6. Chebukati’s account used an IP address that was not part of IEBC Partners address.

7. Chebukati’s account uploaded form 34B from Jomvu constituency

8. On 9th August 2017 Chebukati’s account downloaded, re-uploaded and deleted form 34B from Bureti Constituency.

9. On 13th August 2017 Chebukati’s account transfered folder for Kisumu central constituency.

There were cases of use of non partner IP addresses eg wananchi and liquid telcom 41.60.238.138

Forms 34A and 34Bs were posted by Constituency Elections Coordinators (CEC) at constituency level instead of from polling stations during and after the election.

There is no trace of data originating from any polling station. This raises questions whether data on the server came from the polling station.

Some constituencies have no trace of any Form 34B uploaded on to the server.

In other constituencies Form 34B were uploaded more than once.

There were several instances of uploading files and retrieving them by various users.

Only 277 users accessed the FTP server between August 6th 2017 and 17 August 2017 yet data was supposed to be uploaded from each polling station.

There are instances of one user using multiple IP addresses to access the FTP server. Eg Jlimaris@iebc.or.ke used 10 different IP addresses contrary to the static IP address allocation for the KIEMS Kits and the access control policy.

There were renamed or modified forms in various constituencies as seen from the FTP Server logs provided by IEBC

Constituency Elections Coordinators (CEC) made various modifications multiple times eg:

vkimelil@iebc.or.ke from sotik in bomet county was able to install software applications on 09th august 2017 among other interventions

The CEC for Kibwezi East fwaitah@iebc.or.ke uploaded the same form 34B more than once at different times.

nmaftah@iebc.or.ke made modifications on Jomvu Form 34B

asenge@iebc.or.ke deleted form 34B from changamwe constituency

Some accounts granted were misused to carry out unauthorized and malicious activities.

There were a total of 8300 delete commands.

7954 delete commands were successfully executed between 8th August 2017 at 2232hrs and 17th August 2017 at 1319hrs.

File Formats

Different file formats were uploaded on to the FTP server which shows there no input controls.

Some files were in editable formats such as EXCEL AND WORD DOCUMENTS.

(The Statutory Forms came in hard copy already printed therefore the system should not have had editable file formats)

Mismatched user privileges. One user vkimelil@iebc.or.ke is a CEC from sotik bomet was not a privileged user to install software application on a IEMS. No controls.

On the 8th of August there was no traffic on the firewall. Traffic started flowing from the 12th August 2017 at 2.44 CEST (-1GMT)

The amount of data in terabytes per second was the same for both incoming and outgoing traffic into the server

That is why SC Orengo told the court he can’t believe his eyes!!! GhanaWeb

Diezani Didn’t Touch Our Lives –Kinsmen

There have been calls from some many quarters for the extradition of former Minister of Petroleum Resources Diezani Allison- Madueke. But a trip to her community Yenaka Community, a small Island in Yenagoa Local Government Area of Bayelsa State by Saturday Telegraph, showed that the indigenes are saying that Diezani did not touch their lives in spite of the amount of money she is alleged to have stolen from the nation’s coffers.

A foster brother to the former Minister, Maxwell Agama, said: “If you look at the compound here, there is nothing to show that she was a minister and they are saying she stole money. She only gave us a walkway. “Her father’s house is there, nothing has been done.

We have a lot of land here, nothing. Even now that she has not done anything, they want to kill her. If she has done something don’t you think they would have killed her already? There are so many allegations which are not true. “I don’t have much to say because I don’t know what is happening. I don’t know whether she stole money or not. I’m a villager. I don’t go to anywhere. I have not been abroad. We don’t even talk, so I don’t actually know what is happening.    Telegraph

Dangote: I am not PDP candidate

Aliko Dangote, Africa’s richest man, has denied reports he will run for the Presidency on the platform of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), in 2019.

Dangote made the denial in an interview with Daily Times.

He was reacting to a report that officials of PDP think-tank programme set up by former President, Goodluck Jonathan have contacted him to be the party’s presidential torch bearer in 2019.

“I am an entrepreneur. My passion is to create jobs for Nigerians and not otherwise”, Dangote told Daily Times.

“I am not interested in politics and this is authoritative. No member of any think tank committee has contacted me. People should stop dropping my name for the 2019 presidency.

“This whole thing is an attempt by people who do not like me. They are doing all these with a view to putting me on a collision course with President Muhammadu Buhari and the ruling party. They are people who are jealous of the successes I have so far recorded in business.

“My passion is for business development, provision of jobs and wealth creation, not politics. I have never shown interest in politics. I’m not interested in politics. I am not a politician. My passion has always been business and business.

“Buhari is like a father to me. Nobody should try to set me on a collision course with President Buhari. That will not work. I have high regard and respect for the President.

“For emphasis once again, I am not a politician. I can’t and won’t confront President Buhari. They should leave me out of any high wire politics and horse trading.

“I also seize this opportunity to warn name droppers to desist from their infamous act. They should stop using my name for politics. They should not set me on collision course with President Buhari and the government in power.

“By the time the ongoing Dangote refinery in Lagos and the sugar projects come on stream fully, there will be a great positive development and thousands of jobs created that will change the narrative in the country. That is my passion.” NAN

Serena Williams gives birth to baby girl

Serena Williams earned her latest title — mom — on Friday when she reportedly gave birth to a baby girl at a Florida hospital.

Citing a source from St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach, where Williams reportedly checked in on Wednesday to be induced, Shepherd’s WPBF colleague Patricia Storm reports the new addition weighed in at 6 pounds 13 ounces and was delivered via Caesarean section. Both mother and baby are said to be healthy.

This is Williams’s and fiance Alexis Ohanian’s first child.

Williams, winner of 23 Grand Slam singles titles, revealed her pregnancy by accident earlier this year on Snapchat when she posted a picture of her baby bump with the text “20 weeks.” Williams quickly deleted the post, but by then it was too late. Not only were her fans excited about the news of an impending little one, but they were left astonished to learn she won the Australian Open while pregnant.

Since then, Williams has been open about her pregnancy, even posing nearly nude on the cover of Vanity Fair for the magazine’s August 2017 cover.

Williams said she plans to make her comeback to tennis and was seen practicing throughout her pregnancy.

Super Eagles Fly Again Trounce Cameroun’s Indomitable Lions 4-0

Super Eagles Fly Again Trounce Cameroun’s Indomitable Lions 4-0

Nigeria took a step into the Russia 2018 World Cup yesterday when they dominated the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon in Uyo, beating the African champions 4-0.

If there were any doubts about the ambition of the Super Eagles to be at the Russia 2018 World Cup, it was emphatically erased by Gernot Rohr and his boys, who reduced the Indomitable Lions to sobbing cubs at the magnificent Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo.

The Indomitable Lions were full of drama before and in the early minutes of the game, but the Eagles knew what they wanted and hit targets at each given opportunity.

Earlier on arrival on Thursday, the Cameroonian delegation rejected the five-star Ibom Le Meridien Hotel and Golf Resorts, Uyo, provided by the Akwa Ibom State government and opted for Davok Suites. They claimed that they had information that Nigeria had rigged the hotel with charms meant to weaken them.

One of the officials of the team, Jean Jacques Mouandjo justified their action, saying, “We know Nigerians and your witchcraft but you know Cameroun’s witchcraft is also very strong. So, we decided to pick our own hotel to avoid Nigerian witchcraft. We’re not afraid, we just wanted to keep our players concentrated fully on the match.”

But such ‘precautions’ could not help the Indomitable Lions’ cause as the Eagles showed why they are the team to beat in Group B of the qualifying series.

Cameroun started the brighter side, pinning Nigeria to their own half. But that was a momentary dominion by a team that knew it must get a good result to stay in contention for the World Cup ticket.

The tide changed 20 minutes into the game when the Eagles gradually imposed their game on the Camerounians. It was just a matter of time before Nigeria opened scoring and it came in the 29th minute when Odion Ighalo outmuscled a Camerounian defender to slot the ball beyond the despairing dive of goalkeeper Fabrice Ondoa.

The opening goal was actually made in China, as Tianjin Teda captain, John Obi Mikel won the ball in the midfielder and sent a long pass to Changchun Yatai F.C’s Ighalo, who did the rest.

Obi was the goal scorer in the 43rd minute when he reacted faster than the Camerounian defence to an Ighalo dummy to make scores 2-0.

One of the many bright spots in the Nigerian team, Victor Moses made it 3-0 in the 56th minute when he tucked in a pass from the impressive Moses Simon.

That goal deflated the Camerounians, who immediately adopted a damage control tactic against the rampaging Eagles. But they could not stop substitute Kelechi Iheanacho’s 77th minute headed goal following a brilliant work by Ogenyi Onazi’s from the right flank.

Yesterday’s win means Nigeria needs only three points to secure the ticket to the World Cup.

There are still nine points to contest for, with Nigeria meeting Cameroun in the reverse fixture on Monday. The Eagles will host Zambia in the penultimate matchday, before ending the campaign in Algiers against Algeria.

Cameroon are on two points and the highest they can get to if they win all their remaining games is 11, while Zambia and Algeria will end with 10 points if they also win all their matches. Guardian

In additional swift reaction to the bitter complaints from the people he represents, Hon. Jimoh Ojugbele who sources revealed is aiming to become Ogun West senator come 2019 offered a leading figure of his critics the sum of N20,000. The money was said to have been ‘rejected’!

The critic, a youth advocate and leader of Ogun State youth movement, GenerationNext, Oladimeji Balogun had unequivocally posted on his facebook timeline that he was surprised when Hon. Ojugbele sent him money because he did not ‘call him out’ because of money.

“I was surprised yesterday when oga sent me money. Well, he is very much appreciated, but then, I didn’t call him out because I wanted him to give me money, far from it.” Oladimeji posted on his facebook timeline.

Newsheadline247 further digs revealed Oladimeji had said the ‘money’ will be used to buy school materials for one of the many forgotten public schools in Ado-odo/Ota, Hon Ojugbele’s Federal Constituency.

Sallah: Mrs Buhari felicitates with Nigerians

Agency Reports>>>      The wife of the president,  Mrs Aisha Buhari, has felicitated with Nigerians for witnessing this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebration.

The First Lady, in her tweeter handle, thanked Nigerians for their continued prayers and support to President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.

” On this day of  Eid Adha, I join all Nigerians in thanking God for the blessings he has bestowed on our country.

” I also pray for Nigeria to witness more development in the months and years to come,” she tweeted.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the eid al-adha is the 10th month of Dhul Hijjah of  the Islamic Calendar equivalent to 1st day of September  of  the Gregorian Calendar.

NAN also reports that it  is a holy time  for sacrifice and generosity to friends, family and the needy.

Muslims honour the Eid al-Adha as the time when  Prophet Ibrahim known as Abraham to Jews and Christians was going to sacrifice his son,  Isaac.

Instead,  Abraham was ordered by  God to slaughter an animal (ram) instead.

The eid adha (slaughtering of ram) symbolises  Prophet Ibrahim’s devotion to Allah.

The period also marks  the end of  Hajj, the annual Islamic pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia.

Notorious kidnap kingpin Evans pleads guilty in court

The notorious kidnap kingpin, Chukwudubem  Onwuamadike, alias  Evans and five others on Wednesday  were arraigned  before a Lagos State  High Court sitting in Ikeja the Punch reports.

Evans and his accomplices, Uche Amadi, Okwuchukwu Nwachukwu, Chilaka Ifeanyi, Victor Aduba and one female, Ogechi Uchechukwu, were arraigned before Justice Hakeem Oshodi on two counts bordering on kidnapping and conspiracy.

While Evans and two others pleaded guilty to the charges, the remaining defendants pleaded not guilty.

According to the lead counsel for the prosecuting team, Mr. Adeniji Kazeem, Evans and his accomplices committed the offence of conspiracy on February 14, 2017 around 7.45pm along Obokun Street, Ilupeju, Lagos.

Kazeem said that the defendants between February 14 and April 12 along Obokun Street, Ilupeju, Lagos, while armed with guns and other dangerous weapons, captured and detained one Mr. Duru Donatus.

According to the prosecutor, the defendants collected a ransom of 223,000 Euros for the release of Donatus.

After the plea was taken, Kazeem, the Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General of Lagos State, urged the court to remand the defendants in Kirikiri Maximum Prison and to take trial date for those who pleaded not guilty.

“My Lord, we are following this arraignment and we would like to apply that the defendants be remanded in prison custody and to take trial date for the ones that have pleaded not guilty.

Evans with accomplices in court

“While for those who have pleaded guilty, we would like to lay our statement of fact following which your Lordship would adjourn for sentencing,” Kazeem said.

Responding to the application, Evans’ counsel, Mr. Olukoya Ogungbeje, informed the court that he had not been able to meet his client prior to today’s arraignment and that they were just served on Wednesday morning.

“With respect to the application from the learned Attorney General, we shall not be opposing same.

“However, the defence team just had the opportunity of meeting our clients this morning in court for the first time; we were just served with documents in the open court this morning.

“All the defendants have been in the custody of the police and we have not had the opportunity of conferring with them regarding the offences which are capital in nature,” Ogungbeje said.

The judge granted the prayer of the Attorney General ordering that the male defendants should be remanded in Kirikiri Maximum Prison and the female defendant should be remanded in the female wing of the prison and further adjourned till October 19 for trial.

Before Evans was brought into the court, there was tight security around the court premises as litigants and lawyers were screened before coming into the court.

Evans, who was dressed in a stripped pink shirt on black trousers and bathroom slippers, was brought onto the court premises with his accomplices amidst tight convoy.

There was a mild drama as journalists struggled to take his picture.  Evans, however, remained calm inside the court as he stared straight into the lens of dozens of cameras.

However, people present in court expressed their surprise as the notorious kidnapper pleaded guilty to the charges preferred against him.

As people struggled outside the court to take Evans and his accomplices’ picture after the arraignment, the police blocked them and the defendants were whisked away in a Black Maria to Kirikiri prison.

But Evans’ lawyer, later issued a statement where he claimed that the police coerced his client to plead guilty to the kidnapping charges.

Describing the plea as police-motivated, Ogungbeje said the police threatened to kill Evans if he failed to plead guilty.

Ogungbeje, in the statement on the letter head of his law firm, Lawflex Chambers, which was e-mailed to our correspondent after the Wednesday proceedings, said  his client would change his plea to “not guilty” at the next court sitting.

The lawyer  stated that since June 10, 2017, when the suspect was remanded in custody, the police had not allowed family members and lawyers to have access to him.

The lawyer stated that the guilty plea of the defendants on Wednesday was of no effect as the suspects were not given the opportunity to be guided by lawyers before the charges were read to them.

Ogungbeje said, “It is settled Law that plea of guilty must be made voluntary and direct devoid of any influence, coercion and manipulation.

“In the meantime, after conferring with our client in open court, he made it known to us that he would change his police-motivated guilty plea to ‘not guilty’ at the next adjourned date.”

The police had on June 10,2017, arrested the kidnap kingpin in Lagos after five years of trailing him.

Evans, a native of Anambra State, was arrested in his Magodo residence by the operatives of the Inspector-General of Police Intelligence Response Team.

The suspect was said to have run to the roof of the house for emergency exit but the police caught up with him.

Security forces said Evans had been responsible for many high profile armed robberies in the South-West and South-East parts of the country. Punch
